During Sea Week, the children immersed themselves in a range of engaging, hands-on experiences that sparked their curiosity about the ocean and its inhabitants. They explored sensory activities such as water play with sea creature figurines, a blue flour sensory tray, and experiments with floating and sinking. The children also practiced their counting skills through playful activities, created their own seashell crafts, and enjoyed sea creature stamping and painting.
Throughout the week, the children learned about a variety of sea creatures and discussed the importance of caring for our oceans. They participated in sea clean-up activities and listened to stories that highlighted ways we can help keep the ocean clean, encouraging a sense of responsibility and respect for the environment.
