We were excited to welcome our local police officers from Ryde police station for a special visit, where the children learned all about safety and the important role police play in our community. The officers spoke about different types of police transport, including the various cars they use, motorbikes, and even horses for large crowd events! They also introduced some of their equipment, such as walkie talkies, handcuffs, and their special badges, explaining what the different badge colours represent.
To conclude the visit, the children had the opportunity to take a look at their police car outside. The officers turned on the sirens, which was a highlight for many, and the children were thrilled to take photos in front of the car, making it a memorable and engaging experience for everyone.
