To celebrate Shrove Tuesday, the Red Room participated in a pancake-making experience with Sarah. They began with a group discussion about the ingredients and utensils they would need, then followed a visual recipe outlining the steps. The children took turns measuring, pouring, and mixing the ingredients to make the batter, developing their early maths and fine motor skills. They practised listening carefully, following instructions, and working cooperatively with their peers. Sarah then cooked the pancakes for them to enjoy after lunch, and the children were very proud to taste the delicious results of their teamwork.
