This week is Nature Play Week, where our goal for the outdoor program is to engage children in nature-based experiences, develop their understanding of the natural world, and explore concepts such as habitats, sustainability, and caring for our environment.
In the mud pit, we set up a fun mud kitchen with utensils, trays, pots and pans, and a playful addition—recipe cards! These cards included visuals and numbers for measurement to encourage early numeracy and imaginative play.
We have also had lots of fun using playdough, leaves, and small natural blocks and shells
We have been getting very messy, but its been lots of fun.
