Butterfly Project

Our Butterfly Project.

The children were so excited. During the two week period they have observed different stages of the lifecycle period. We welcomed four caterpillars and five chrysalises (cocoons).

At first, our caterpillars were tiny, but during the first two days, they have been busy munching on their milkweed leaves and have grown very big. They are preparing for the next stage of their life cycle!

Our chrysalises started as bright green with a golden trim. We noticed that one has begun to darken and become more transparent. We can now see the beautiful butterfly wings inside—this means it will be ready to emerge soon!

This has been a wonderful learning experience for the children. Across the rooms, we have been exploring the butterfly life cycle through engaging activities, including reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar and creating artwork inspired by our observations. We are all eagerly watching and waiting for the magical moment when our butterflies hatch

We encourage regular feedback from all of our parents. It helps us quickly identify and fix any areas that may have room for improvement. It’s always nice to hear when we’ve done well too...
