Feeding our worms

Today we fed our worms with fruit and vegetables scraps from our kitchen. Worms eat food scraps and then transform it into "worm tea" which is makes an excellent fertiliser for the garden. In a week we will check back to see what has happened to the food scraps.

Children are connected with and contribute to their world when they become socially responsible and show respect for the environment. This is evident when they explore relationships with other living and non-living things and observe, notice and respond to change. We promote this learning when we find ways of enabling children to care for and learn from the land.

We encourage regular feedback from all of our parents. It helps us quickly identify and fix any areas that may have room for improvement. It’s always nice to hear when we’ve done well too...
